Fattoria Poggiarello, a farm situated between Florence and Siena, is well known for its fortunate position and its characteristic cellars. It has been producing wine for well over 200 years from grapes grown in the the zone of Chianti Classico within the confines of Poggibonsi, Castellina and Gaiole in Chianti.
Gian Paolo Brini and his wife Cristina supervise the production in order to maintain high quality with special regard for tradition. Out of 600 hectoliters of potential production, only 200 are bottled according to the average quality of the harvest. The wines show a solid body but are velvety and elegant as is typical of the Chianti area: this makes the young wines drinkable very early, nevertheless they show the tannins and acids that let you foresee a good aging potential for the good vintages. |
