Bocon Srl
Bocon was founded in 1987 and currently employs about 50 people in its two production sites in Pieve di Soligo and Susegana, an hour’s drive north of Venice.

The main facility in Pieve di Soligo is dedicated to frozen products – the company’s core business, while the one in Susegana is devoted to gnocchi (chilled and frozen).
. They will soon be reunited in a new 7000sqm production plant, at just 200mtrs from the present main one, which will allow the company to streamline the production processes, significantly increasing their production rate.
Bocon’s mission is to make people savour the real flavours of traditional Italian dishes. Our products are made following original recipes, using carefully selected local raw materials, with no addition of glutamate, thickeners or artificial flavourings, blending the experience of home-made food with the needs of a healthy and modern diet.
However, our love for tradition does not prevent us from staying tuned to new food trends, which translates into a range of grains blend with vegetables like beetroots or edamame beans, spiced up with turmeric, pomegranate juice or fresh ginger.and, more recently, to all-vegetable versions of the classical Italian gnocchi..
At Bocon's we like to see ourselves as cooking artisans, but only as far as the contents of our products are concerned. There is nothing amateurish about our production facilities: state-of-the-art blast chillers and ovens, constantly updated freezing technology, meticulous quality controls – both during process and on the finished products, full traceability of each production lot and of the relevant ingredients. A commitment to “doing well” confirmed by the obtainment of the BRC and IFS certifications.
In this business flexibility is THE asset and Bocon can quickly adapt to new production requirements, speeding up processes and switching easily from one product to the next without disrupting the productivity rate. For this reason, the production of comparatively small batches is not regarded as a big issue, but neither is that of very large orders. As for samples, which we regard as a key tool, a good tasting session can speak volumes.

All of these characteristics make Bocon the ideal partner for high-end companies wishing to present their customers with fine quality products that will take them in the wonderful world of Italian cuisine.

Seafood Couscous

We often tend to consider couscous as a foreign dish, forgetting that the Arab domination of Sicily deeply affected the isle’s gastronomic tradition. In fact, for this seafood couscous we draw our inspirations from the Trapani tradition. The result is a tasty dish that matches squids, mussels, clams and prawns with grilled peppers, fried eggplants, cartos, chickpeas and peas in a spicy but balanced mix.
