SAOR ITALIA SRL is a family run business, located in Gioiosa Jonica (RC), South Italy where still fresh sun ripened vegetables are available and harvested at their peak of flavour thanks to close connections with local farmers. We manufacture the following products according to Italian tradition: Pasta Sauces, Pesto, Antipasti, Soups and Fruit spread & topping. Quality, tradition and high production standards are certified by: BRC grade AA, IFS higher level, BIO e UNI EN ISO 9001: 2008. Since many years we are very proud to share our passion for food taking care of several Private Label worldwide.

Soups

The secret of a good soup is to use fresh ingredients. Fresh ingredients harvested at their peak of flavor, locally sourced, most of them form local farmers and daily delivered to our facility day before production run. Washed and cut into pieces according to recipe, our soups are cooked according to Italian tradition: it’s a step by step cooking process, in big pots of about 650kg capacity, because each ingredients has different cooking times and the result that we want to achieve is a bouquet of flavors! That’s why we take our time while cooking our soups for you.

Pasta Sauces

PASTA SAUCES How do they start? All our Pasta Sauces start from a selection of the best fresh raw materials, daily sourced from local markets and farmers in the south of Italy. Most of them are sourced straight from our Region Calabria. Sicily, Puglia and Campania are so close to us that we can get from these Regions fresh raw materials delivered to our factory on daily base. Raw materials are key ingredients. They need to be fresh, fragrant and harvested at their peak of flavor. But key is also the way in which you use them. If not used properly, even the best ingredients can give a very poor result. Indeed our factory is essentially a big kitchen. Take as example a Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce: add to extra virgin olive oil freshly chopped onions and carrots so that the onions and the carrots together with the extra virgin olive oil turn into a bouquet of flavors. Once the soffritto base is ready, we layer in into the pot 100% ITALIAN tomatoes and sea salt. Just before filling the jars, we finish the sauce with fresh Basil from our fields just the other side of the factory. Washed and chopped by hand so that you get the vibrancy and the fresh flavor of the basil. Exactly as my mam would do at home! Simply but basic steps that turns our pasta sauces into an Italian traditionally made pasta sauce experience!

Our goal is to deliver fresh vegetables, harvested at their peak of flavor and immediately packed in jar dressed with FRESH herbs and filed with oil. Sundried tomatoes, semidried cherry tomatoes, artichokes, caponata, bell peppers, olives & more.

Jams and Preserves

100% Citrus fruits from Calabria, South of Italy, hand harvested at their peak of flavor. In season Oranges, Lemons, Clementine & Bergamot achieve an extraordinary flavour immediately packed in jars with no pectin for an extraordinary fresh and all natural taste.
